Sage One Accountant · South Africa

A Sage One accountant who actually runs the file.

Sage Business Cloud Accounting setup, clean-up, and monthly processing for South African owner-managed businesses — run by a Professional Accountant (SA), not handed to a junior.

01 · What's included

The full Sage One monthly loop.

Setup & migration

New Sage One file builds, chart of accounts aligned to your business, bank feeds, VAT registration check, and migration from Pastel, Xero or QuickBooks where needed.

Clean-up review

Most files we take over have drift — unreconciled banks, suspense accounts, VAT that doesn't tie back. We fix it, document it, and agree what's worth carrying forward.

Monthly processing

Bank reconciliations, supplier and customer ledgers, journals, fixed-asset register, and a closed file soon after your last entry — not weeks later.

VAT201 returns

Monthly or bi-monthly VAT returns reconciled to the Sage file, submitted on SARS eFiling, with the underlying reconciliation kept for audit.

Payroll integration

Payroll figures imported and reconciled, EMP201s prepared, and the general ledger kept aligned with what was paid.

Management accounts

A monthly income statement, balance sheet, and cash position from the same file — so you make decisions on this month's numbers, not last quarter's.

02 · Why us

Senior work. On the file. Every month.

Registered Professional Accountant (SA)

Brandon Iverach is a PA(SA) member of SAIPA and a registered SARS Tax Practitioner. The senior who scopes the work is the senior who reviews it.

Built around Sage One

We work inside Sage Business Cloud Accounting every day. Reports, integrations, common pitfalls, VAT settings — we don't learn it on your file.

Automation where it pays

Supplier invoice capture, bank rules, and document routing are wired into the workflow so the manual work shrinks month-on-month — not the review.

03 · Questions

Sage One accounting, answered.

What does a Sage One accountant actually do?

We set up your Sage One (Sage Business Cloud Accounting) file properly — chart of accounts, bank feeds, VAT settings, customer and supplier ledgers — then run the monthly bookkeeping on it: capturing, reconciling banks, processing journals, reviewing VAT, and producing management accounts. The aim is a file you can trust at any point in the month, not one that gets fixed at year-end.

Do you work with businesses already using Sage One, or only new setups?

Both. Most clients come to us with an existing Sage One file that has drifted — unreconciled bank accounts, suspense balances, VAT that doesn't agree to the returns. We do a clean-up review first, agree what's worth fixing versus what to close off, and then take over the monthly work.

Can you migrate us from Pastel, Xero or QuickBooks to Sage One?

Yes. We've migrated files in both directions between Sage One, Xero, QuickBooks and desktop Pastel. Migration scope, opening balances and a cut-over date are agreed in writing before we start so there are no surprises.

Are you a registered Sage partner?

We work daily inside Sage One, and the practice is led by Brandon Iverach, a Professional Accountant (SA) registered with SAIPA and SARS. Partner status with Sage itself is a separate commercial arrangement we can confirm on a fit call.

What does it cost to have you run our Sage One file?

Pricing depends on transaction volume, VAT vendor status, payroll headcount, and whether you need management accounts monthly or quarterly. After a short fit call we send a written scope and fixed monthly fee before any work starts.

We're in [city] — do you work remotely?

Yes. The practice is based in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape, and we work with owner-managed businesses across South Africa. Sage One is cloud-based, so day-to-day work, reviews and meetings happen remotely. Site visits are available when they're useful.

Run your Sage One file properly.

A short fit call. A written scope. A clean monthly file. In that order.
